434 PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY

Venire Facias for Mr. David Small to answer to what Shall be objected against
him in the behalfe of his Majesty: warrant to the Sheriffe to Cause and returne
ut Supra.

The abovesaid Docquett of writt and Subpoenas was returned per Thomas
Greenfeild Sheriff.

Att a Prince Georges County Court held att Charles Towne the 23 of January
in the tenth year of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lord William the third by the
Grace of God of England Scottland France and Ireland defender of the Faith
etc. Annoque Domini 1698 [1699] by his Majestys Justices thereunto appoynted
and authorized (viz.)

Present. Mr. Thomas Hollyday, Mr. John Wight, Mr. Robert Bradley, Mr.

Samuell Magruder, Comissioners.

Then for want of More Justices the Court adjournd till to morrow morneing
ten a Clock and then Salt.

Present. Mr. Thomas Hollyday, Mr. John Wight, Mr. William Barton, Mr.

Robert Bradley, Mr. Samuell Magruder, Comissioners.

Ruth Sansbury brought a Child of Stephen Ashbees (who is runn eway) it
being not weaned twas thought Convenient by the Court, that it Continue with
her, the Said Ruth to have twelve Hundred pounds of Tobacco per year for
Nurseing of it etc.

Susanna Grimes Servant to Col. Thomas Hollyday was adjudged to Serve
Twelve months for the trouble of his house in haveing a bastard Child.

[385] To the worshippfull his Majestyes Justices of Prince Georges County
Court Silting.

Gentlemen I am Commanded by the Comissary Generall to desire your wor-
ships to take care of the Esteat of John Wallker late of your County that it may
not be Imbezeled from the widdow but that She may have the benifitt and ad-
vantage thereof, I am with all Submissiveness Gentlemen your most Humble
Servant.

To the Worshipffull the Comissioners of Prince Georges County.

The Humble Petition of Richard Marcham humbly Sheweth.

That whereas your Petitioner as he is Informed hath Condemned in his hands
by this worshippfull Court a Certain Debt due to Mr. John Cobb of this County
Merchant Due from one Cortney Crotoff to the Said John Cobb and that the
Said Condemnation was made in regard that your Petitioner did not appear to
Shew Cause why the Said [Debt] Should not be Condemed in his hands.

These are to Pray that your worships would Ceriously Consider that Since your
Petitioner never had any Effects or Esteat of the Said Coartney Crotoffts in his
hands as he can Evidently make appear to this worshipfull Court but that the
Said Courtney Crotoff Fraudulently Sold and Disposed of what he had (in order
to runn eway) to one Samuell Williams as is very well knowne amongst the
neighborhood since the Said Fraudulent deed was made by him to the Said
Williams, That your worshipps for your Petitioners redress would grant him an
