Browne by the Discresion of the Justices here att his request for his Cost and
Charges in this behalfe Susteined according to the forme of the Statute etc. by
the Court here adjudged etc.
William Williams Plantiffe: Samuell Warren Defendant
William Williams who brough the writt of our Sovereigne Lord the King
against Samuell Warren of a Plea of tresspass upon the Case etc. and hath not
Prosecuted his Said writt therefore he and his pledges of Prosecuteing be in
mercy etc. Lett the names of the Pledges be Sought etc. and the Said Samuell
Warren goe thereof without day, it is Likewise Considered that the Said Samuell
Warren recover against the Said William Williams his Damages by Occation of
the Premises to two Hundred Sixty five pounds of Tobacco To the Said Samuell
Warren by the Discression of the Justices here at his request for his Cost and
Charges in this behalfe Susteined according to the Forme of the Statute etc. the
Court here adjudged etc.
Then did the Court adjourne till to morrow Morneing 9 a Clock.
Present. Mr. John Wight, Mr. Robert Bradley, Mr. Robert Tylar, Mr. Robert
Wade, Mr. John Hawkins, Mr Samuell Magruder, Comissioners.
John Joyce Cryer of this Court fined four Hundred pounds of Tobacco for not
giveing his attendance unless he Shew Cause who appeared Presently aftar and
gave Such reasons that the Court was Sattisfyed with and so the fine was remitted.
John Deakins made oath that he attended 3 dayes as an evidence for William
Groome against Joseph Addison whereupon it was ordered that the Said that
the Said William Groome Pay the Said Deakins ninety pownds of Tobacco for
his Said attendance.
Mr. James Bigger being brought before the Court for breach of the peace was
ordered to be in Custody of the Sheriffe till he give Security for his good be-
heaviour and Appearance the next Court.
[363] Charletts Administrators Plantiffes: Faulkners administrators Deffendants
Hugh Reyley and Mary his wife administratrix of all and Singular the Goods
Chattells and Credditts of Martin Faulkner late of Prince Georges County De-
ceased otherwise Called Martin Faulkner Planter in Calvert County in the
Province of Maryland was Summoned to answer unto Thomas Greenfeild Ad-
ministrator of all and Singular the Goods Chatties and Credditts which ware
of Richard Charlett Late of Calvert County Deceased of a plea that they Render
unto him the Full and Just Sume of one thousand five hundred and Sixty
pounds of good Sound bright and Large Tobacco clear from Trash and Ground
Leaves and Caske to Conteine the Same which from him they unjustly de-
teineth etc.
And Whereupon the Said Thomas by William Stone his attorney Saith that
whereas the Said Martin in his Life time (to witt) the 10th day of August 1692
att Callvert County that is to Say at Charles Towne within the Jurisdiction of
this Court by his Certaine bill obligatory which the Said Thomas with the
Scale of the Said Martin Signed bringeth here into Court the date whereof is
the Day and year afforesaid did binde himselfe his his heires Executors Ad-
ministrators to pay or Cause to be payd unto the Said Richard his heires
