NOVEMBER, 1698 COURT 395

to be Leavied of their Goods and Chattells Lands and tenements respectively to
our Sovereigne Lord the Kings use if the Said John Davis Shall not appear att
the next County Court to be held at Charles Towne the fourth Tuesday in
January next and in the Mean time to be of good beheaviour as well towards our
Sovereigne Lord the King as all the Good people of this province, but Espeas-
sially towards William Conley.

Thomas Linch made oath to an account against the Esteat of John Short.

These Following persons ware Nominated and appoynted Constables for Each
Hundred Following: James Moor Constable of Mount Callvert Hundred; Robert
Arme Constable of Mattapony Hundred; Abraham Clarke Constable of Patuxant
Hundred; William Young Constable of Collington Hundred; James Cogwell
Constable of Piscattaway Hundred; Andrew Hambleton Constable of New Scot-
tland Hundred.

Warrants to Each Constable was Ishued out accordingly.

Pressmasters for the Ensueing year: James Watts Presmaster of Mattapony
Hundred; Benjamin Brasheers for Patuxant Hundred; Joseph West for Colling-
ton Hundred; William Conley for Mount Callvert Hundred; Daniell Connell
for Piscattaway Hundred; Ralph Wornall for New Scottland Hundred.

To the Worshipfull Justices of Prince Georges County Greeting the Humble
Petition of Thomas Frederick humbly Sheweth.

Your Petitioner humbley creaves the Favour of your worshipps to discharge
him from the office of being a Constable he haveing noe desier to hold it any
Longer being anchient and not fitt for that office nor noe other Publicque office
therefore your Petitioner humbly creaves that your worshipps will bee so Pleasd as
to make Choice of one of these three hereaftar named and for soe doeing your
Petitioner Shall Ever Pray.

Francis Marbury, William Cogwell, James Cogwell for Piscattaway Hundred
Noe presentments.

Mr. Small made oath to divers accounts.

Ordered that the Grand Jury have 400 pounds of Tobacco att Mr. Nicholas
Spornes.

David Hennis desiers to have his Marke Recorded (Viz.) an over Bitt and hole
on the Right and a Hole on the Left both Cattle and Hoggs.

William Dent fined for not appearing as a Juryman fined two Hundred
Pounds of Tobacco unless he Shew Cause the next Court, [fine]

William Sharp Servant to Mr. Robert Bradley Confest before the Court to
have run away Eight dayes whereupon it was ordered that he Should Serve
according to Law.

Nathan Veitch made oath to an account against James Bigger.
