atteached such goods as afforesaid that they bee and appear before the Justices
of our next Court to be held at Charles Towne as afforesaid to Shew Cause if any
they have why the Said goods soe atteached as afforesaid Should not bee Con-
demned and Execution thereon to be had and made etc.
Att which Said day the Said Sheriffe came into Court and made returne of the
Said writt Endorsed on the Back as Followeth (Viz.) atteached in the hands of
Charles Bevin two Cows and Calves and Sumoned to Shew Cause why they Shall
not be Condemned per Thomas Greenfeild Sheriffe.
Att which day here came the Said Joshua Cecell as well the Said John Wallker
as the Said Charles Beven though Solemnly Called came not nor either of them
wherupon the Said Joshua Cecell Prayeth two Cowes and Calves soe atteached as
aforesaid may bee condemned and that Execution thereon to be had and made
and by the Court here it is Granted unto him.

Worshipfull Gentlemen: I have received his Excellencys Commands to Wright
to your Worshipps to acquaint you that whereas a Remonstrance is made to him
from the Provintiall Court to have the Rangers on Patomick disbanded, His
Excellency is Pleased to require you at this your County Court to make what
Enquiery Possible whether there bee any Further Nescessity for Continueing of
them and what the Peoples apprehentions and Sentiments are as well of their
being disbanded or Continued and what they Desier as to this Matter Equall
Reguard being had to the Publick Saffety and publick Charge in mainteining
them.
Gentlemen you will doe well to make Some remonstrance to his Excellency
thereof setting forth the reasons Either for or against the Continuing of them
and Pray lett it be Signed by as many Hands as can be had.
It is required that you Send your answer hereto by your Deligates to his Excel-
lency when they Come to the Assembly where this affair will be Further Con-
certed.
