And The Said Archibald Edmundson in his proper person cometh and de-
fendeth the force and Injury when etc. and prayeth Leave to Imparle here untill
the next Court and it is granted unto him the Same day is given to the plantive
Likewise.

And now here at this Day to Witt the 23d day of August in the year of our
Lord 1698 here came as well the Said William Stone in his proper person as the
Said Archibald Edmundson in his proper person afore Said and the Said William
Stone prayeth that the Said Archibald Edmundson to his Declaration aforesaid
may answer etc.

And the Said Defendant in his propper person comes and defends the force
and Injury when etc. and Saith that he hath fully administred all the goods and
Chattells which ware of the aforesaid Robert Edmundsons at the time of his
Death in his hands to be administred nor had att the time of the ishueing forth
of the originall Writt of him the Said William Stone nor any time after and this
he is ready to aver etc. And hereupon for that the Said Defendant the Said action
of the Said William Stone hath not denyed nor that the Said Archibald Edmund-
son is Administrator of the Goods and Chattells which ware of the Said Robert
Edmundsons at the time of his death he the Said William Stone prayeth Judge-
ment for the Debt aforesaid to be Leavied of the Goods and Chattells which ware
of the Said Robert Edmundson to be administred when to the hands of the Said
Archibald they shall happen to come Togathe[r] with the Damages by occation of
the premises to him to be Adjudged etc.

Therefore it is considered that the Said William Stone doe recover against the
Said Archibald Edmundson the Debt aforesaid and his Damages by occation of
deteining the Same to the Sume of two hundred forty four pounds of Tobacco
to the Said William Stone of his Asscent by the Court here adjudged to be
Leavied of the Goods and Chattells which ware of the Aforesaid Robert
Edmundsons at the time of his Death when to the hands of the Said Archibald
Edmundson in time to come Shall happen to come to be administred And the
Said Archibald Edmundson in mercy etc.
