NOVEMBER, 1697 COURT 283

Ordered that Christopher Baynes may make a Roade about his plantation
According to his petition and that he make the Same within fourteen dayes with
bridges over all the Slashy places and Cleare the Said Roade Covenient for
horse or foot and that Mr. Robert Tylor View and Returne his Approbation of
the Same unto the next County Court etc.

Richard Taylor desiers his marke may be Recorded (Viz.) Cropp Slitt and
under Square one the Right Eare and Cropp and Slitt on the Left Eare for
Cattle and hoggs.

[260] William Lee desiers his marke may be Recorded (Viz.) A Cropp on the
Right Eare and an Under bitt and an over bitt on the Left Eare.

John Lee the Sonn of William Lee desiers his marke may be Recorded (Viz.) a
Cropp on the Right Eare with the upper Corner of the Cropp taken off And an
under bitt and over bitt on the Left.

Jarvis Winser desiers his marke of hoggs may be Recorded (Viz.) a Cross on
the Right Eare and a Swallow forke and under bitt on the Left Eare.

Ditto desiers his marke of Cattle may be Recorded (Viz.) A Cropp under bitt
and over bitt on the Right Eare and a halfe Spade and under bitted on the Left
Eare.

John Burch desiers his marke of Cattle and hoggs may be Recorded (Viz.) A
Cropp Slitt and under bitt on Each Eare.

George Miller desiers his marke may be Recorded (Viz.) two under keeles on
the Right Eare and a Flower deluce on the Left Eare.

John Talburt desiers his marke may be Recorded (Viz.) two Cropps and two
under halves.

Thomas Lockyer desiers his marke may be Recorded (Viz.) two Cropps and
two over halves.

Martin Galeher desires his marke may be Recorded (Viz.) A Swallow forke on
the Right Eare And a flower deluce on the Left Eare.

John Lannam desiers his marke may be Recorded (Viz.) A hole and over
keeled on the Right Eare and a Cropp Slitt and under keeld on the Left Eare.

Ditto desiers his Sonn John Lannam marke may be Recorded (Viz.) A hole
and over keele on the Right Eare and a Cropp two Slitts and under keele on the
Left Eare.

Ditto desiers his Sonn Richard Lannam marke may be Recorded (Viz.) A hole
and over keele on the Right Eare and a Cropp three Slitts and under keele on
the Left Eare.

Ditto desiers his Sonn Thomas Lannam marke may be Recorded (Viz.) A
Cropp and under keele on boath Eares and over keele on the Right Eare.

To the Worshipfull bench of Prince Georges County etc. I have a Child at
my house this three yeares allmost and the mother being Runaway I desier that
you will be pleased to take the Child or Else take Some Care of it for Shee would
have bound it before At Mr. Greenfeild but he tould her She must bring it to
Court. Ordered that if Mary Davis the mother of the above Child doe not Come
to the next Court then the Said Child Shall be bound out unto the petitioner
Thomas Davis as by the Court Shall be thought fitt etc. Ninian Dew being the
Supposed Father of the Said Child.
