Know all men by these presents that I Samuell Harrwood of London in the
Kingdom of England Marchant have Assigned and Ordained and made and in
my Stead and place by these presents putt and Constituted my trusty and well
beloved Freind Joshua Cecell of Prince Georges County in the province of
Maryland my true and Lawfull Attorney for me and in my Stead and name and
to my use and behoofe to Aske Recover and Receive all the Debts due to me
from all person or persons within the province of Maryland whether they be
monyes goods wares Merchandizes or tobaccoes giveing and by these presents
granting to my Said Attorney my full power and Lawfull Authority in the
premises to doe Say performe and Finish for me and in my name as aforesaid
all and every Such Act and Acts thing and things device and devices in the Law
whatsoever for the Recovery of all Such Debts as Shall be made Appeare to be
due to me by any meanes whatsoever from all person or persons in the abovesaid
province as aforesaid as fully Largly and Amply in Every Respect as I my Selfe
might or Could doe if I were personally present and upon Receipt thereof
Acquittances and discharges for me [253] And in my name to make Scale and
Deliver Ratifying Allowing holding firme and Stable all and whatsoever my
Said Attorney Shall doe in the premises or Cause to be done in or about the
Execution of the premises by vertue of these premises In wittness whereof I
hereunto Sett my hand and Scale this Seaventeen day of Aprill Annoque Domini
1697.
