AUGUST, 1696 COURT 25

Prince Georges County Ss:

The Jurors for our Sovereigne Lord the King that now is for the body of the
County aforesaid upon their oaths for his Said Majesty do present Robert
Robinson of the County aforesaid planter for that he the said Robert att Charles
Towne within the Jurisdiction of this Court did make himselfe drunke and So
drunkenly did abear himselfe against the Laws of God and this province.
Bladen pro Rege.

[Wittneses Sworne: William Bladen, Cleborn Lomax, John Meriton.]

On the back of the Said bill was Endorsed (Ignoramus).

[Prince] Georges County Ss:

The Jurors of our Sovereigne Lord the King that now is for the body of
Prince Georges County for his Said Majesty upon their oaths do present Matthew
Mackeboy of the County aforesaid planter for that he the Said Matthew the 24th
day of June 1696 att Charles Towne in the County aforesaid did in Contempt of
the good Laws of this province as alsoe of the Kingdome of England make
himselfe drunke and in Such manner did abear himself against the tennor and
provision of the good Laws of God and this Province. Bladen pro Domino Rege.

[Wittnesses Sworne: William Bladen., Cleborn Lomax, John Meriton.]

On the back of the Said bill was Endorsed (Bill Found).

[Prince Georges] County Ss.

The Jurors of our Sovereigne Lord that now is for the body of Prince Georges
County for his Said [27] Majesty upon their Said oaths doe present Matthew
Mockeboy of the County aforesaid for that [he] the Said Matthew att Charles
Towne in the County aforesaid the 24th day of June 1696 an Assau[lt] upon
the person of one William Bladen Gentleman did make and him did beate and
evill intreate against his Majestys peace etc. Bladen pro Rege.

[Witnesses Sworne: William Bladen, Cleborn Lomax, John Meriton.]

On the back of the aforesaid bill was Endorsed (Bill Found).

Jane Trueman Administratrix of Henry Trueman against John Browne
trespass on the Case: the Defendants by William Stone their Attorny Appears
and Imparls till next Court.

To these 10 Actions the Defendant by Joshua Cecell their Attorney Appears
and Imparls till next Court: William Westry against John Soaper - trespass
on the Case; Robert Synock against Robert Brightwell - trespass on the Case;
John Deakins against Richard Brightwell - trespass on the Case; Thomas Palmer
against John Smith - trespass on the Case; Richard Brightwell against Francis
Durham - trespass on the Case; Courtny Crotoff against Richard Edwards -
trespass on the Case; William Westry against Thomas Sprigg Sr. — trespass on
the Case; William Stone against James Moore - trespass on the Case; John
Chapman against John Joyce - trespass on the Case; the Same against the
Same - trespass on the Case; John Stevens against Steven Sentry — trespass on the
Case.
