of the Said John of Eight pounds Sterling and thereof he bringeth this Suite etc.

The plantiffe by his Attorney haveing Issued out a writt against the defendant
which Said writt was by the Sheriffe Returned that the Said Defendant was not
to be found in his balywicke and alsoe have Caused a Coppy of the Decleration
to be left at the house were the Said defendant last Lived or abided in this
County And Likewise it is testified here in Court on behalfe of the plantiffe that
the Said Defendant is a forrinor and is gone to England Whereupon the Said
John Forrest by William Stone his Attorney prayeth an Attachment against the
goods Chatties and Creditts of the Said Samuell Gibbs as well for the Said Sume
of four pounds Eight Shillings Sterling the Debt for Damages aforesaid as alsoe
for the Sume of four hundred forty Seaven pounds of tobaccoe for his the Said
John Forrests Costs and Charges in this behalfe Laid out and Expended etc. And
by the Court here it is granted unto him etc.

Peter Paggen and Company plantiffe: William Groome Defendant

The plantiffes by William Stone their Attorney Sues the Defendant in a plea
of trespass upon the Case for two thowsand one hundred and Sixteen pounds of
tobaccoe the ballance of Accounts as by Decleration filed and Account here

And the Said William Groome in his proper person Came into Court and
defendeth the force and Injury when etc. An[d] Saith that he Cannot gainsay the
Action of the Said Peter Paggen and Company nor but that he oweth the Said
two thowsand one hundred and Sixteen pounds of tobaccoe the ballance of Ac-
counts aforesaid in forme as the Said Peter Paggan and Company against him
hath Complayned etc.

Therefore it is Considered that the Said Peter Paggen and Company Recover
against the Said William Groome as well the Sume of two thowsand one [179]
Hundred and Sixteen pounds of tobaccoe the ballance of Account aforesaid as
alsoe the Sume of three hundred twenty four pounds of tobaccoe to the Said
Peter Paggen and Company at theire Request for theire Costs and Charges in
this behalfe laid out and Expended etc. And by the Court here Adjudged etc.
And the Said William Groome in mercy etc.
