Assume upon himselfe in manner and forme as the plantiffe in his Decleration
aforesaid doth Complaine and of this he puts himselfe upon the Country.

Therefore Command is given the Sheriffe that he Cause to Come here twelve
etc. by whom etc. and who neither etc. to Recognize etc. because as well etc.
And now here at this Day Cometh as well the Said Josias Tow[g]ood as the
Said William Ludell by theire Attornys aforesaid and the Jurors thereon im-
panelled being Called Likewise Came (Viz.)

James Stoddart foreman, John Dunkin, Edward Willett, Henry Gutridge,

William Willson, Hugh Ryley, Samuell Magruder, Charles Hayes, John

Pottinger, William Mills, Robert Wade, William Clackson. Supoenaed by

Thomas Greenfeild, Sheriffe.

Who to Speake the truth Conserning the premises being Elected tryed and
Sworne doe Say upon theire oaths that they fine for the plantiffe.

Therefore it is Considered that the Said Josias Towgood Recover against the
Said William Ludell as well his Damages in the premises to Eight hundred and
fifty lbs. of tobaccoe by the Jurors aforesaid in forme aforesaid Assessed as alsoe
Eight hundred and Seaven pounds of tobaccoe to the Said Josias Towgood for
his Cost and Charges in this behalfe Sustained by the Court here Adjudged
etc. And the Said William Ludell in mercy etc.

Randalph Garland plantiffe: Matthew Mockeboy Defendant
The plantiffe Obtained his Majesties writt of Capias out of this Court against
the Defendant of a plea of trespass upon the Case by vertue of which Said writt
the Sheriffe of Prince Georges County have brought the body of the Defendant
here [156] Into Court to Answer etc. And whereupon the plantiffes Attorny
prayeth he may have Spetiall baile to the Said Action And it is granted unto
him And the Said Matthew Mockeboy present here in Court is Comitted into
the Custody of the Sheriffe for Default of M[a]nucaptors there to Remaine
untill etc.

Charles Tracy plantiffe: Daniell Troy Defendant

Whereas Charles Tracy the fourth Tuesday in January Last Obtained an
Attachment against the goods Chatties and Creditts of Danill Troy for the
Sume of fourteen hundred pounds of tobaccoe a Certaine Debt for Damages as
alsoe the Sume of four hundred and Seaven pounds of tobaccoe Cost of Suite
Whereupon Command was given to the Sheriffe of Prince Georges County that
of the goods Chatties and Creditts of Daniell Troy if Soe much Should be found
in his balywicke he Attacht the aforesaid Sume of Eighteen hundred and Seaven
pounds of tobaccoe in the hand or hands of any person or persons in this
County and when he had the Same Attached or any part thereof the Same in
his Costody to keepe Soe that he have the Same before the Justices of our next
Prince Georges County Court to be held at Charles Towne the fourth Tuesday
in March next And Likewise at the time of Executeing the Said writt he gave
notice to the person or persons in whose hands and possession he Attacht Such
goods as aforesaid that they be and Appeare before the Justices of our Said next
County Court to Shew Cause if any they have why the Said goods Soe Attached
Should not be Condemned and Execution had and made etc. and that he had
then and there the Said writt etc.
