Ellinor Bayne plantiffe: Henry Goodrick Defendant
The plantiffe by Cleborne Lomax her Attorney Sues the Defendant for three
thowsand pounds of good Sound Marchantable leafe tobaccoe and Caske due
by bill as by Decleration and bill filed Appeareth etc. And whereupon the Said
Henry Goodrick in his proper person Came into Court and Saith that as to
thirteen hundred Seaventy four pounds of tobaccoe part of the Said bill of
three thowsand pounds of tobaccoe hee have well and truly paid but as to the
Sume of Sixteen hundred twenty Six pounds of tobaccoe Residue of the Said
Sume of three thowsand pounds of tobaccoe he Still oweth to the plantiffe in
manner and forme as is Declared against him and upon the profe thereof made
to the Court here the plantifes Attorny Allowed of the Same.
Therefore it is Considered that the Said Ellinor Bayne Recover against the
Said Henry Goodrick the Sume of Sixteen hundred twenty Six pounds of
tobaccoe the ballance of the bill of three thowsand pounds of tobaccoe afore-
said as alsoe her Damages by Occation of Deteyning the Said Debt to five hun-
dred thirty nine pounds of tobaccoe to the Said Ellinor Bayne of her Assent by
the Court here Adjudged And the Said Henry Goodrick in mercy etc.

Robert Gorden Defendant
Command was given to the Sheriffe that he take the body of Robert Gorden
if etc. to Answer unto the plantiffe of a plea that he Render unto him the Sume
of four thowsand four hundred and forty pounds of tobaccoe and that he had
him att this Court etc. Att which Said Court Came as well the Said Archable
Edmonson by William Bladen his Attorny as the Said Robert Gorden in his
proper person in Custody of the Sheriffe etc. and the Sherife Returneth that he
hath taken the body of the Said Robert Gorden and the Same hath ready here
in Court and the Said Robert Gorden present here in Court is Committed to
the Custody of the Sheriffe for default of Manucaptors there to Remaine untill
etc.
John Carmalt plantiffe: Charles Beall Defendant
The plantiffe by Cleborn Lomax his Attorny Sues the Defendant in a plea
of Debt for two thowsand two hundred and Eighty pounds of good Sound
Marchantable Leafe tobaccoe and Caske as by Decleration and bill filed
Appeareth And Whereupon the Defendant in his proper person Came here into
Court and Saith that he hath well and truly paid and Sattisfied unto the
plantiffe the Sume of Eight hundred pounds of tobaccoe part of the Said bill
of two thowsand two hundred and Eighty pounds of tobaccoe but as to the
Sume of fourteen hundred and Eighty pounds of tobaccoe Residue of the Said
bill of two thowsand two hundred and Eighty pounds of tobaccoe he Cannot
gaine Say but that he oweth the Same to the plantiffe in manner and forme
aforesaid and made proofe thereof which proofe the plantiffs Attorny Accepted
off.
Therefore it is Considered that the Said John Carmalt Recover against the
Said Charles Beall the Sume of fourteen hundred and Eighty pounds of tobaccoe
the Residue of the bill aforesaid and his damages by Occation of Deteyning the
Said Debt to three hundred Sixty Seaven pounds of tobaccoe to the Said John
Carmalt of his Assent by the Court here Adjudged and the Said Charles Beall
in mercy etc.
