112 PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY

The King demands Subpoena for Christopher Thompson to testify inter him
and Joane Wood: warrant etc. to Subpoena and returne ut Supra. [Sumoned.~\

The King demands Subpoena for Francis Marbary to testify inter him and
Elizabeth Pole: Warrant etc. to Subpoena and returne ut Supra. [Sumoned.]

The King demands Subpoena for John Murth and John Browne, Jr. to testify
for him against Isaack William and William Willson: Warrant etc. to Subpoena
and returne ut Supra. [Sumoned.]

The King Demands Subpoena for William Mills to testify for him against
James Boulton: warrant etc. to Subpoena and returne ut Supra. [Sumoned.]

Ninian Beall Demands Subpoena for John Deakins, William Morgan
and to testify inter him and Francis Prisly: warrant etc. to Subpoena and
returne ut Supra. [Sumoned]

Francis Prisley demands Subpoena for Daniell Elliott and uxor Ann Norman,
William Tanyhill and Thomas Webster: Warrant etc. to Subpoena to testify
inter him and Ninian Beall and Returne ut Supra, [all Sumoned]

George Young Demands Subpoena for Ninian Beall and John Short to testify
inter him and the Carletons: warrant etc. to Subpoena and returne ut Supra.

The aforesaid Docquett of writts and Subpoenas was Returned by Thomas
Greenfeild Sheriffe.

[101] Att Prince Georges County Court held at Charles Towne the twenty Sixt
day of January in the Eight year of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lord William
the third by the grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland King
defender of the Faith etc. Annoque Domini 1696 By his Majestys Justices there-
unto Appointed and Authorized (Viz.)

Present. Mr. Thomas Hollyday, Mr. William Barton, Mr. John Wighte, Mr.

Robert Bradley, Mr. David Small, Mr. William Tanyhill, Mr. Robert Tyler,

Comisoners.

To the Worshipfull the Justices of Prince Georges County Court Sitting

The Humble Petition of John Meriton one of the Attorneys of this Court.
Sheweth.

That whereas it hath pleased Divine Providence to Soe Sorely Afflict your
petitioner with that Miserable distemper Called the Gripes Soe that at Present
he is altogether uncapable Either of paying his duty to your worships and being
Assistant or anywayes helpfull to his Clyants.

Therefore prayes your Serious Considerations of the premises that all business
wherein your Petitioner is Conserned Either for plantiffe or Defendant may be
Continued untill the next Court and your petitioner as in Duty bound Shall
ever pray etc.

The Request of the above petitioner by the Court here is granted.

Francis Prisley Desiers his marke may be Recorded (Viz.) a Swallow forke on
the Right Eare and two Slitts on the Left Eare.

William Coghill Desiers his mark may be Recorded (Viz.) a Swallow fork on
the Right Eare and a Cropp Slitt under keele and over keele on the Left Eare.

John Emett desiers his mark may be Recorded (Viz.) a Swallow forke and
Slitt behind the Swallow forke in Each Eare.

William Hunter desiers his marke may be Recorded (Viz.) : a Cropp hole and
under keel on the Right Eare and over keele and under keele on the Left Eare.
