CHAPTER 44.

AN ACT to declare the sanction of the General
Assembly of Maryland, to the bequest of John
Gunby, late of Coshocton county, Ohio, deceased,
to the Commissioners of the Presbyterian Church
old school, at Snow Hill, Maryland, and to the
Snow Hill Presbyterian Church of Worcester
county, in the State of Maryland, in trust to erect
a Presbyterian Church at Stockton, in Worcester
county, and for the support of. a minister to preach
therein.

WHEREAS, John Gunby, late of Coshocton county,
Ohio, deceased, did by his last will and testament,
duly admitted to probate and recorded in the office
of the Register of Wills of Worcester county, in the
State of Maryland, bequeath to the Commissioners
of the Presbyterian church, old school, at Snow Hill,
Maryland, certain bonds and Baltimore city securi-
ties, to be by them sold and two thousand dollars of
the proceeds thereof to be appropriated to the build-
ing of an Old School Presbyterian Church at Sandy
Hill, Maryland, and the annual or semi-annual in-
terest on the balance, after being invested, to be
applied to the payment of an Old School Presbyte-
rian Minister, to preach at said place,

Preamble

AND WHEREAS, the said John Gunby did by a
codicil to said will, duly admitted to probate and
recorded in the office of the Register of Wills of
Worcester county, aforesaid, further bequeath in
trust to the Snow Hill Presbyterian Church, of
Worcester county, State of Maryland, three thou-
sand dollars for the purpose of building a church
edifice at Stockton, (formerly Sandy Hill, ) in said
county and State, and also the sum of two thousand
dollars, to be put at interest, and the interest to be
used for the purpose of paying a minister of the
Gospel for said society at Stockton, as aforesaid.

designated in said bequests in said will ami codicil,
