CHAPTER 343

 

AN ACT to refund to Tilghman N. Chance the sum

 

of one hundred and eighty-eight dollars, the amount

 

of a bailbond, interest and costs forfeited to the

 

State, as one of the sureties for James H. Andrews.

 

WHEREAS, in the year eighteen hundred and

 

seventy-five, Tilghman N. Chance and Ephraim

Preamble.

Diffenderfer, became sureties for the appearance at

 

the May term, eighteen hundred and seventy-five of

 

the Circuit Court for Talbot county, of one James

 

H. Andrews; and

 

WHEREAS, the said James H. Andrews failed to

appear when- called at the said May term, whereby

 

said bailbond was forfeited; and

 

WHEREAS, before the succeeding November term

 

of said Court, the said Andrews was re-arrested and

held, and at the said November term, eighteen hun-

 

dred and seventy-five, was tried, convicted and pun-

 

ished; and

 

WHEREAS, the said Tilghman N. Chance, one of

 

the sureties for the said Andrews has paid into the

bond forfeited as aforesaid; therefore,

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

 

Maryland, That the Comptroller be, and he is here-
