ers of Queen Anne's and Talbot counties are directed

 

to levy a tax upon the taxable property of their re-

 

spective counties, for the purpose of erecting a draw-

 

bridge over said Kent Narrows; provided, that one-

 

half of the cost of erecting said bridge shall be levied

 

upon the taxable property of Queen Anne's county

 

and one-half upon the taxable property of Talbot

 

county, the amount levied upon each county not to

 

exceed the sum of two thousand dollars; and

 

WHEREAS, by the said act of eighteen hundred and

 

seventy-four, chapter two hundred and seventy-six,

the aforesaid counties are only taxed respectively

 

with one-half of the cost of erecting said bridge, and

 

no provision is therein made for keeping the said

 

bridge in repair and safe for public travel, and for

 

providing a keeper for the draw of said bridge; and

 

WHEREAS, the erecting of said bridge was at the

 

special instance and request of Talbot county, and
