Repealed and
re-enacted.

"Allegany county," be and the same is hereby re-
|
|
 
|
pealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows :
|
|
 
|
SEC. 98. Nothing in the last preceding section shall
|
|

numbers four, five, six and fourteen from being sued

writing supported by the affidavit of such party or

|

his counsel, or other proper evidence that the party

cannot have a fair or impartial trial before said jus-
|
|
 
|
tice where such suit or action, or issue is pending,
|
|
 
|
then the said justice of the peace before whom
|
|
 
|
such suit or action, or issue is pending shall order
|
|
 
|
and direct the proceedings in any such suit or action,
|
|
 
|
or issue to be transmitted to some other justice of
|
|
 
|
the peace appointed and qualified for any one of the
|
|
 
|
above-named election districts.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
|
|
 
|
effect from the date of its passage.
|

CHAPTER 271.
|
|
 
|
AN ACT to prevent the sale of Spirituous or Fer-
|
|
 
|
mented Liquors within a distance of two and
|
|
 
|
a-half miles from the Fair Grounds of the Kent
|
|
 
|
County Agricultural Society, on the days of the
|
|
 
|
Annual Exhibition of said Society, and to give
|
|
 
|
said Society full force to appoint a Special Police
|
|
 
|
during said exhibition.
|
|
Not be lawful.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
 
|
Maryland, That it shall not be lawful for any person,
|
|
 
|
firm, or body politic, to barter or sell any spirituous
|
|
 
|
or fermented liquors, lager-beer or cider, on the
|
|
 
|
clays that the Kent County Agricultural Society hold
