purpose, hold any position in this company, nor shall any officer of this company hold any office in any other company, which has been or may be formed for similar purposes; and the General As- sembly reserves the right to alter, amend or repeal this act at pleasure. Approved March 9, 1876.

CHAPTER 31.
AN ACT to amend the act approved March thir- tieth eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, entitled an act to incorporate the Gary Manufacturing Company of Maryland.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the tenth section of the act of Assem- bly, approved the thirtieth day of March, eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, chapter two hundred and eighty-nine, entitled "an act to incorporate the Gary Manufacturing Company of Maryland" be, and the same is hereby repealed, amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:	Repealed and re-enacted.
10. And be it enacted, That the State hereby reserves the right to amend or repeal this charter at any time hereafter, and to tax the property of this corporation; but the said property shall be assessed and taxed, and the taxes thereon paid in the counties in which the same is located, and neither the property nor stock of said corporation shall be taxable elsewhere. SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from the date of its passage. Approved February 28, 1876.	In force.
