LAWS OF MARYLAND.

 

Brooklyn to Baltimore city, or by building the bridge
and roads thereto as provided in sections two, three,
four, five and six of this act.

Take posses-
sion.

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore, be and they are hereby
authorized, directed and required, on or before Octo-
ber the first, eighteen hundred and seventy-six, to
take charge and possession of the bridge over
Gwynn's Falls, known as Harman's bridge, accord-
ing to the act of the General Assembly of Maryland
of eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, chapter ninety-
four.

In force.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 3, 1876.

 

CHAPTER 221.

AN ACT to add a new section to article twenty-six
gf the Code of Public General Laws relating to
corporations, so as to provide a more summary
remedy against companies incorporated by this
State with authority to transport persons or prop-
erty for hire.

Additional
section.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the following be enacted as an addi-
tional section to article twenty-six of the Code of
Public General Laws relating to corporations, to wit:

Be aggrieved.

If any person is or shall be aggrieved by any com-
pany incorporated by the laws of this State, with au-
thority to transport or carry persons or property for
hire by reason of anything done or omitted to be
done by the said company, in violation or contraven-
tion of its duty in regard to the transportation or
