CHAPTER 202.
AN ACT to authorize the trustees of J. R. Trimble
to construct a pier on Light street, Baltimore, at
the foot of Welcome alley.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the trustees of the estate of J. R.
Trimble, of the City of Baltimore, are hereby author-
ized and empowered to construct a pier on Light
street wharf in Baltimore, similar to other piers now
erected on the said Light street wharf, and immedi-
ately south of Howard's pier at the foot of Welcome
alley, of the following dimensions, to wit: beginning
at the water edge, opposite centre of Welcome alley,
and extending east along Howard's pier into the
basin, seventy feet; thence south ten feet at the pier-
head; and thence in a direct line to a point on Light
street wharf, seventy feet south of the centre or
Welcome alley.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said pier be
constructed on piles capped and planked as other
piers are built along Light street wharf, and that
whenever the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore,
shall by ordinance cause the piers on Light street
to be removed, the pier hereby authorized to be
erected shall be removed at the expense of the trus-
tees of J. R. Trimble, upon the terms that may be
prescribed for the removal of other piers on Light
street.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
