AN ACT to refund to Horatio J. Sheppard of Cecil County, a sum of money erroneously paid into the treasury.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the Comptroller be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to draw his warrant upon the treasurer in favor of Horatio J. Sheppard, a Notary Public of Cecil county, for the sum of forty-nine dollars erroneously paid by him into the treasury of the State.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal chapter 423 of the acts of 1874, entitled "an act to repeal section twenty of article twenty-eight of the Code of Public General Laws, title "County Commissioners, " sub-title "Roads, " so far as the same applies to Washington county, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That chapter 423 of the acts of 1874, entitled "An act to repeal section twenty of article twenty-eight of the Code of Public General Laws, title "County Commissioners, " sub-title "Roads, " be and the same is hereby repealed so far as the same relates to Washington county and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
