tending from the northern limit of said district through the town of Berlin, to the southern limit of said district, known as the old stage road, shall be the third election district of Worcester county, and the voting place in which, shall hereafter be in the town of Berlin; and all that part of said district, formerly known as the third election district of Worcester county, which lies west of the public road running through said district known as the old stage

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Governor of Maryland, and the County Commissioners of Worcester county, be, and they are respectively, hereby authorized and directed to appoint for each of said new districts, two justices of the peace, two constables, one registration officer for the registrations of voters, and all other officers as they may now be authorized by law to appoint for other election districts in Worcester county, and also to do whatever else within the scope of their authority, may be necessary to carry out the objects of this act.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That all persons now in office and heretofore appointed for the original third election district in Worcester county, may, and they are hereby authorized to act until their successors are appointed and qualified, as now required by law, in the same capacity for either of said new districts in which they may now be living, as they could have acted for the original third election district of said county, and during their continuance in office, shall be deemed a part of the officers herein required to be appointed.
