JOHN LEE CARROLL, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR. 111 CHAPTER 73.

AN ACT to authorize, empower and direct the County Commissioners of Howard county to adjust and pay Thomas J. White for damages occasioned by opening a public road through his lands.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Howard county be, and they are hereby authorized and empowered to examine into, adjust and pay to Thos. J. White, whatever sum of money in their judgment may be right and proper in satisfaction of his, the said White's claim for damages, occasioned by opening a public road through his, the said White's lands, by the County Commissioners of Howard county, in March, eighteen hundred and sixty-nine.

Pay damages.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from the date of its passage.

Approved March 22, 1876.

CHAPTER 74.

 

AN ACT to repeal section one of an act passed at January session eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, chapter two hundred and six, entitled " an act to authorize the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's county to levy a sum of money or issue bunds for repairing and altering the Court House in said county," and to re-enact the same as amended.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That section one of an act passed January session eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, chapter two hundred and six, entitled " an act to authorize the county commissioners of Queen Anne's county

Repealed and Re-enacted.
