making repairs and additions to the furniture of, and for procuring articles necessary for the uses of the Executive Mansion.

 

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That his Excellency, John Lee Carroll, Governor of this State, be authorized to have such repairs and additions made, and to procure such articles as he may deem necessary for the use of the Executive Mansion, and the Comptroller is hereby directed to issue his warrant upon the Treasurer for such amount as the Governor may require; provided that said sum shall not exceed, in the aggregate, the sum of three thousand dollars; and the Governor shall make return to the Comptroller of the amount expended, together with the vouchers for the same.

Comptroller to issue warrant.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 61.

 

AN ACT to" provide for the sale to the County Commissioners of Cecil county of the State's interest in the Bohemia Bridge Company.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the Board of Public Works be and it is hereby authorized and empowered to sell to the County Commissioners of Cecil county the State's interest in the Bohemia Bridge Company; provided, the price obtained be not less than twenty-five per cent, on the par value of. the stock.

Authorized to sell.

SEC. 2; And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from the date of its passage.
