CHAPTER 180.

AN ACT to prevent in St. Mary's County the re-
moval or improper disposition of property that
has been levied upon.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That any person in St. Mary's county who
shall be guilty of disposing of property that has been
levied upon by the proper law officer, and thereby
defeating the object of the law, shall be deemed
|
 
|
guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof
shall be held responsible for twice the amount of pro-
|

perty so disposed of, and in failure to pay the same,
shall be imprisoned in the county jail for a period
of not more than six months or until said fine shall
be paid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners
of Allegany County to levy a tax on dogs in said
county.

|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Alle-
gany county shall require an accurate return to be
made annually, by the collectors of the several dis-
tricts within the county, of all "dogs" and every
"bitch, " upwards of two months old, owned or pos-
