act of which this is an amendment, be not made on
the appointed day, such election may be made at
any time thereafter; and the president and directors
for the time being, shall hold and exercise their
offices until a new election shall be made.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 131.
AN ACT to empower the County Commissioners
of Baltimore county, to pay William D. Burns of
the fourth election district of said county, an
amount of money to pay physicians fee and for
loss of time in consequence of injuries received
whilst serving under the orders of a deputy sheriff
in arresting and securing unruly prisoners.

Empowered
and directed.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Baltimore county are empowered and
directed to pay William D. Burns, of the fourth
election district of Baltimore county, a sum of money
not exceeding five hundred dollars, which sum is to
pay for his loss of time and expenses incurred.
