CHAPTER 130.

AN ACT to amend an act entitled "An act to in-
corporate the Woodberry Manufacturing Com-
pany of Baltimore county. "

WHEREAS, by the third section of the act of in-
corporation of the Woodberry Manufacturing Com-
pany, it was provided that the arrangement of the
business and concerns of the paid corporation should
be vested in a board consisted of a president and
only three directors; and,

WHEREAS, it is deemed convenient and proper
that the said corporation should have power to in-
crease the number of its directors; therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Woodberry Manufacturing Com-
pany, the corporation incorporated by the act passed
at January session of eighteen hundred and sixty-
eight, entitled "an act to incorporate the Woodberry
Manufacturing Company of Baltimore county, " be
and the same is hereby authorized and empowered
at any time, and from time to time hereafter, by a
vote of the stockholders at a meeting called for the
purpose, to increase the numbers of its directors;

provided, however, the whole number shall never
exceed seven besides the president; and on the first
Monday in May next succeeding any such vote so
enlarging the number of directors, and annually
thereafter, the stockholders in general meeting shall
elect a president and such number of directors as
may have been so determined on; and such board

so constituted, shall be vested with all the authority
and powers by the said act of which this is an amend-
ment, conferred upon the said board as originally
constituted; and a majority of such board, whether
the president be one or not, shall constitute a quo-
rum for the transaction of business; provided, that
nothing herein contained shall affect or impair the
powers or authority of the now existing board of
president and directors of the said corporation, un-
til their successors shall be chosen; and provided
further, that if any election under this act, or the
