pro rata, to all who shall present such certificates
within ten days after the first of each and every
month, for the amount that may then appear to be
in his hands to their credit, and. continue so to draw
as they may find funds in the hands of said treasurer
to their credit, until they have discharged all the
indebtedness due and owing by Prince George's
county, for which the said levy or assessment was
made; it is hereby declared to be the intention and
meaning of this act that the county commissioners

debtedness to any person having a levy on their
books showing the amount due by Prince George's
county to them, which shall be transferable and
taken up by the said county commissioners by draft
on the treasurer, as hereinbefore provided; and the

compensation

to the sum of four hundred dollars per annum, for
the increased duties imposed upon him by this act,
in addition to the compensation he now receives;
the treasurer shall immediately, upon receiving the
assessment or rate of tax, proceed as hereinafter pro-
vided for to collect the same, and may at any time,
after he has given the required notices prescribed by
this act, proceed to sell, as hereinafter provided,
either real or personal property of the person, body
politic or corporate in whose name it stands assessed
for the payment of the same, and it shall be the duty
of the county commissioners at any time after county
or State taxes are due and in arrears, to authorize
the county treasurer by general order to sell the real
or personal property of any person, body politic or
corporate who may be then owing State or county
taxes, due and in arrear as aforesaid, it shall not be
necessary in the order of the commissioners to men-
tion the name of the delinquent or the property
