the aforesaid roads through his, her or their lands, shall thereupon
proceed to assess and value the damages accordingly, taking
into consideration the advantages and disadvantages, if any, and
such inquisition and valuation shall be final and conclusive; but
should the jury award a smaller sum for damages than the commissioners
had previously done, then and in that case the person or 
persons at whose instance the inquisition was held shall pay all the
legal costs and charges of said inquisition.

CHAP. 43.

    7.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said commissioners, before
they shall proceed to act as such, shall take an oath before some
justice of the peace of the same tenor and effect as is herein before
directed to be taken by the jurors.

                                           CHAP. XLV.
An Act to authorise the Levy Court of Prince-George's County to
    assess and levy on the assessable property of said County a sum of
    money for the purposes therein mentioned.

Passed Dec. 23.
    WHEREAS a number of inhabitants of Prince-George's county
have, by their petition to this general assembly, prayed that a law
may pass authorising the levy court of said county to lay a tax on
the inhabitants thereof for the purpose of repairing a causeway and
erecting two bridges across the Eastern Branch, adjoining the town
of Bladensburg; and the said prayer appearing reasonable, therefore,
Preamble.
    2.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
the justices of the levy court of Prince-George's county, be and they
are hereby authorised and required, if in their judgment they shall
think it expedient and proper, to levy on the assessable property of
said county a sum of money not exceeding the sum of four hundred
dollars, for the purpose of repairing a causeway and erecting two
bridges across the Eastern Branch, adjoining the town of Bladensburg.

                                          CHAP. XLVI.
A Further Additional Supplement to the act (a), entitled, An act for
    marking and bounding Lands.  Lib. TH. No. 2, fol. 41.

    WHEREAS the act to which this a further additional supplement
does not extend its provisions to lands held for life or lives, nor to
lands held under lease for five years, and it appearing just and proper
that the privileges and provisions contained in said act be extended
to lands held for life or lives, and also to lands held by lessees
for years, under a certain limitation; therefore,

    2.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
from and after the passage of this act, the several county courts
within this state shall have power and authority, under such limitations
and directions as are prescribed in the act, and the supplements
thereto, to which this is a further additional supplement, to
grant and issue commissions for the purpose or marking and bounding
