    3.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said trustees, or any number
of them, not being less than seven, shall have full power and authority
to sell and dispose of the tickets in the lottery heretofore authorised
(a), either in the city of Baltimore or any other part of
this state, and to draw the same, without paying any tax therefor
to the corporation of the city of Baltimore, any law to the contrary
notwithstanding.

Passed Jan. 20, 1808.
    WHEREAS a judgment has been obtained by the state of Maryland
against William Rose, James Booker, Philemon Willis and Richard
Barnaby, securities for William Stoddart Bond, upon a bond
or bonds given by them for the composition money due on a certificate
called Bones Meadows, and the said securities praying to be
released from the payment of the principal of the said judgment,
upon their paying up the interest due, and relinquising all claim
to the certificate aforesaid, and they being released accordingly by
a resolution in their favour, and it being but right that the certificate
and the land therein mentioned to be revested in the state of
Maryland, therefore,
Preamble.
    2.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
a certificate of a survey of a tract of land called Bones Meadows,
lying in Allegany county, dated the eleventh day of May, seventeen
hundred and ninety-seven, for twenty-two thousand and twenty
acres of land, be and the same is hereby, and the lands therein and
thereby included, be and the same are hereby revested in the state
of Maryland, and that the said land, or any part thereof, shall not
be liable to be taken up, acquired or affected, by any person whatever,
in virtue of any species of warrant whatever, until the legislature 
of Maryland shall hereafter make provision for disposing of
the same.

    by 1810, ch. 76, so much of this act as directs that the land therein mentioned
shall not be taken up, &c. repealed.

                                          CHAP. XCIX.
A Supplement to an act, * entitled, An act authorising the Proprietors
    of the French-Town and New-Castle Water and Land Stages to
    open a Road from French-Town, in Cecil County, to intersect the
    divisional line between this State and the State of Delaware, at a
    Road laid out by the Commissioners of New-Castle County, in the
    State of Delaware.

    1.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the commissioners appointed by the second section of the act to
which this is a supplement, be authorised to lay out and open a
road from French-town, on the most suitable ground, and in the
straightest direction, to meet at the Delaware line such road as will
be laid out in the state of Delaware from the village of Glasgo
towards French-town, at the expense of the proprietors of the French-town
and New-Castle water and land stages; Provided, that the said
road shall not be laid out through the garden, yard, meadow or orchard,
of any individual, without his or her consent first had and
obtained in writing.
