the will or consent of the owner, nor shall any field in which grain,
tobacco, or grass intended for hay, is growing, be laid open, until
the crop is ripe and may be taken away.

CHAP. 12.

    5.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said commissioners as aforesaid
shall be allowed eleven shillings and three-pence for every day
they shall be employed in discharge of their duty under this act,
to be paid in the same manner as the amount of the valuation herein
before directed to be made.

                                            CHAP. XIII.
An Act to authorise and empower the Levy Court of Worcester County
    to assess and levy a sum of money for the purpose therein mentioned.

Passed Jan. 5, 1805.
    WHEREAS Lemuel Ennis, by a petition to this general assembly
hath set forth, that he is a very poor man, and has several small
children, that one of his said children, John Ennis, is now of the
age of fifteen years, who was born blind, and continues so without
the least hopes of his ever recovering his sight, and praying that a
law may pass authorising the levy court of Worcester county to levy
a sum of money for the support of his said son out of the poor-house;
and the facts stated in the said petition appearing to be true,
and the prayer thereof being reasonable, therefore,
Preamble.
    2.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
the levy court of Worcester county shall be and they are hereby
directed and empowered, at their levy court annually, so long as
they shall see cause, to assess and levy on the assessable property
of the said county, a sum of money, not exceeding thirty dollars, for
the support and maintenance of the said John Ennis, and that the
same be collected annually by the collector or collectors of Worcester
county, and paid to such person as the levy court of said county
shall or may direct.

                                       CHAP. XIV.

hath set forth, that he hath for some time past been deprived of
his eye sight, by which he is unable to get his living, and that he is
a very poor man, and praying that a law may pass for his support
out of the poor-house; and the facts stated in the said petition appearing
to be true, and the prayer thereof being reasonable, therefore,
Preamble.
    2.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
the justices of the levy court of Worcester county shall be and they 
are hereby directed and empowered, at their levy court annually,
so long as they shall see cause, to assess and levy on the assessable
property of said county, a sum of money, not exceeding fifty dollars,
for the support and maintenance of the said Zadock Holston,
and that the same be collected annually by the collector or collectors
of Worcester county, and paid to such person or persons as the levy
court of said county shall or may direct.
