No. 51.
RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore
be and he is
hereby directed, to pay unto Peregrine Banthan, of Kent county,
late a private in the revolutionary war, annually, in quarterly payments,
during life, a sum of money equal to the half pay of a private,
a further remuneration for those services by which his
country has been so essentially benefitted. |

RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore

is hereby directed, to pay to Jacob Jeffries, of Queen-Anne's county,
late a private in the revolutionary war, or to his order, annually,
in quarterly payments, during life, a sum of money equal to
the half pay of a private, as a further remuneration to him for
those services by which his country has been essentially benefitted. |

No. 53.
RESOLVED, That our senators and representatives
in the Congress
of the United States, be requested to call the attention of the
national legislature to the shortness of the corn crop in this and
some of the adjacent states, and to co-operate in such measures as
the wisdom of congress may devise, to alleviate the distress which
our citizens will necessarily experience in case the apprehended
scarcity of bread stuffs throughout the union should be likely to
be realized.
RESOLVED, That the honourable the President of the
Senate, and
the Speaker of the House of Delegates, cause copies of the above
resolution to be made out and signed by the President on behalf of
the Senate, and by the Speaker on behalf of the House of Delegates,
and forwarded to the members of congress from this state. |

RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore
be and he
is hereby directed, to pay unto Richard Pindell, of Kentucky, late
a surgeon in the United States army during the revolutionary war,
or to his order, annually, in quarterly payments, a sum of money
equal to the full payment of a surgeon, during life, as a further remuneration
for those services be rendered his country during her
struggle for independence. |

hereby directed, to pay to Samuel Scott, or to his order, annually,
in quarterly payments, the half pay of a private during his life,
for those services he rendered his country during the revolutionary war. |

of arms, &c. |
No. 64.
RESOLVED, That a sum not exceeding eight thousand
dollars,
out of any unappropriated money in the treasury, be and the same
is hereby placed at the disposal of the governor and council, to carry
into effect the resolution passed at December session, 1815, authorising
a collection of the public arms, camp equipage, &c. |

RESOLVED, That Henry Steiner, Stephen Steiner, and
Lewis
Green, be and they are hereby authorised, under the direction of
the governor and council, to cause to be fitted up one of the rooms
in the east wing of the public barracks in Frederick-town, for the
reception and safe keeping of the
field-pieces of the artillery company |
