                APPENDIX——RESOLUTIONS.

                                        No. 25.
    RESOLVED, That the judges of the respective county courts of
this state be and they are hereby requested to view and inspect the
books and records of the offices of the clerks of their respective
county courts, and that the judges of the orphans courts of the
respective counties of this state be and they are hereby requested
to view and inspect the books and records of the registers of wills,
and that they have free access to the same, with power to swear
any deputy-clerk in the office respecting said books and records,
and that they, or any two of them, report to the legislature, at
their next session, the state, order and condition, of the said books
and records, and whether the judicial proceedings upon final judgments
and decrees have been regularly recorded, or if omitted, in
what year or years such proceedings have been omitted to have
been so recorded.

                                        No. 26.
    RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore be and he is
hereby authorised and directed to pay unto the commissioners appointed
to superintend the erection of a penitentiary, the sum of
ten thousand dollars, out of any unappropriated money in the treasury.

                                        No. 27.
    RESOLVED, That the governor and council be and they are hereby
authorised to procure some safe and convenient building or depository
in the city of Annapolis, to receive the public military
arms, ordinance and stores, (which are now at the city of Annapolis,)
therein, or to distribute the same in the different counties of
this state, or to attach the several pieces of artillery to the different
brigades in this state, in such manner as may seem necessary
and proper.

                                        No. 28.
    RESOLVED, That the governor and council be and they are hereby
authorised to draw on the treasurer of the western shore for
such sum or sums of money as may be requisite to carry the aforesaid
resolutions into effect; and the said treasurer be and is
hereby authorised and directed to pay the same out of any unappropriated
money in the treasury.

                                        No. 29.
    RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore be and he is
hereby authorised and directed to subscribe for two hundred and
fifty shares in the Baltimore and Frederick-town turnpike road
company; for one hundred and fifty shares in the Union Manufacturing
Company of Maryland; and for three hundred shares in the
Mechanics Bank of Baltimore, and to pay the amount of the
shares so subscribed to the president and directors of the respective
companies at such time or times as there shall be any unappropriated
money in the treasury.
