NOVEMBER SESSION, 1781.
No. 1.
RESOLVED unanimously, That the governor be
requested to
write to Mr. Peale, of Philadelphia, to procure, as soon as may be,
the portrait of his Excellency General Washington at full length,
to be placed in the house of delegates, in grateful remembrance of
that most illustrious character. |

No. 2.
RESOLVED, That the governor and the council be requested
to
direct the officer or officers who have the superintendance of the
public records now at Elk-Ridge Landing, to cause the same to be
removed to the city of Annapolis a soon as the same can conveniently
be done, and that proper packages be provided for the removing
the same at the public expense; and that the persons employed
in removing the records, be paid by the public, by orders to
be drawn by the governor and council on the treasurer of the western
shore. |

RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore
be directed
to allow John Parran, Junr. one of the collectors of the tax in Calvert
county, the sum of nine hundred and ninety-nine pounds two
shillings and six pence, continental currency, it being the amount
of two certificates consumed in his house by the enemy, and which
he had received for the public discharge of taxes. |

APRIL SESSION, 1782.
No. 1.
Whereas George Farrington, with John Mitchell and
Robert
Mitchell, formerly of Worcester county, now of the state of Delaware,
passed their bond to this state on the 10th of April 1770,
for l225 sterling. And whereas the said George Farrington,
and
also Robert Mitchell, one of the securities, are since dead, and the
said Farrington's estate now lies in the Delaware state. |

RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore
be directed
to give the said John Mitchell up the bond aforesaid, with a receipt
thereon, upon his giving bond, with good security, to this state,
for the balance due, on the terms of the former bond. |
