                                APPENDIX.

certify such her examination and acknowledgment thereupon,
and that such certificate be likewise enrolled upon record.
In which case only every such femme covert shall be barred, and
not otherwise; any thing herein before contained to the contrary
notwithstanding.

1692.
    6.  AND BE IT ENACTED, by the authority, advice and consent
aforesaid,
That no advantage shall be had or taken against any
person or persons whatsoever, that hath either conveyed, or had
conveyed to him, any manors, lands, tenements or hereditaments,
by any ways or means whatsoever, in this province, for non-payment
of the alienations reserved as aforesaid, at any time or times
since the late happy revolution of affairs in this province; but that the
payment of the same, and receipt taken, shall be as available and
beneficial to the party or parties who ought to pay the same, and
recording the same receipt, as if the same had been paid at the
time of the acknowledging and enrolment as aforesaid; any thing
in this act, or in any former act, or any law, statute or usage, to
the contrary thereof in any wise notwithstanding.
No advantage to
be taken for non-payment
of alienations
since the revolution.

    WHEREAS, at a general assembly, begun and held at St. Mary's,
in the Province of Maryland, the twenty-seventh day of March
in the nine and thirtieth year of the Dominion of CÆCILIUS, &c.
Annoq; Domini 1671, it was then and there, amongst other things,
enacted, (viz.) An Act for Quieting Possessions; which act did assure
and confirm all estates made by real purchasers of all lands,
tenements and hereditaments whatsoever, before the day of the
date thereof, and not after.
