BANKS

            INDEX TO THE LAWS.

    Each of the several banks authorised to loan to the
state any sum not exceeding one third of the capital actually
paid in,

    The Bank of Somerset incorporated, &c.

    The Conococheague Bank established in Williamsport,
in Washington county,

    The Bank of Caroline established in Denton,

    Directions concerning discounts, the ration of votes,
and the security of debts, &c. in the Bank of Baltimore,
    The Susquehanna Bridge and Bank Company incorporated,
&c.
    The Havre-de-Grace Bank established in Harford
county,
    Any incorporated bank of this state authorised to
loan to the state any money not exceeding the amount
of the capital actually paid in,
    The Bank of Westminster established in Westminster,
Frederick county,
    The charter of the Bank of Baltimore continued and
extended to the first of January, 1835, &c. provided
that the said bank is not released from the terms and
conditions prescribed by the act of 1813, ch. 122,
—Same as to the Union Bank of Maryland,
—Same as to the Farmers Bank of Maryland,
—Same as to the Mechanics Bank of Baltimore,
—Same as to the Marine Bank of Baltimore,
—Same as to the Franklin Bank of Baltimore
—Same as to the Commercial and Farmers Bank
of Baltimore,
—Same as to the Farmers and Merchants Bank of
Baltimore,
—Same as to the Farmers Bank of Somerset and
Worcester,
—Same as to the Cumberland Bank of Alleghany,
—Same as to the City Bank of Baltimore,
—Same as to the Hager's-town Bank,
—Same as to the Bank of Somerset,
—Same as to the Conococheague Bank,
—Same as to the Bank of Caroline,
    The levy court of Calvert county authorised to borrow,
and the banks authorised to loan, the sum therein
mentioned, for the purpose of rebuilding the court-house,
    Provision made for payment of loans by the banks
to the state,
    The Planters Bank of Prince-George's County established
at Upper-Marlborough, &c.

    The Centreville Bank of Maryland established in
Centreville, in Queen-Anne's county,
    The Farmers Bank of Leonard-town authorised to be
established at Leonard-town in Saint Mary's county,
    The Frederick County Bank established in Frederick-town,
    Banks that have or shall establish any branch or office
in the state, not to issue notes of other denominations
than those therein mentioned,
—No note to be issued except upon stamped paper
as therein directed,
—The treasurer of the western shore to furnish the
stamped paper under the direction of the governor and
council, to be paid for on delivery,
