BALTIMORE COUNTY

            INDEX TO THE LAWS.

    The road leading into Howard street in the city of
Baltimore, to be straightened, &c.
—A lottery authorised for paving a part thereof,
—The trustees of the poor empowered to lease out
ground separated by the said road,
    Money to be levied for the support of Emma Buckingham,
    A road to be laid out to intersect the main road from
Cromwell's Bridge to Baltimore,
    The road to be straightened from Beam's Tavern by
the mill of A. Seekamp, to the Liberty Town road,
    The county court to be held on the fourth Monday
in March and third Monday in September,
    Nothing herein to alter the powers of the criminal
court, or to give criminal jurisdiction to the county
court,

    Provision for the erection of a new court house

    The powers of the levy court enlarged as tot he alms-house
and work-house,
    Baltimore city and county form the fifth district for
electing representatives to congress,
—The fifth district entitled to two representatives,
one a resident of the county and the other of the city,
    Baltimore county forms the fifth district for choosing
electors of the president and vice president of the United
States,
    Provision for repairing the road from the city of Baltimore
by Belle-Air, in Harford county, to Peach Bottom
Ferry on the Susquehanna,
    A lottery authorised for raising money for Saint
Thomas's Parish in Baltimore county,
    The bridge over the Falls of Gunpowder to be rebuilt,
    A road to be laid out from an angle of the Reister's
Town Turnpike Road to intersect the Falls Turnpike
Road, &c.

    A road to be laid out and straightened from Towson's
Tavern on the Baltimore Turnpike Road, to intersect
the Pennsylvania line,

    Provision for altering a part of the road from Baltimore
to Belle-Air,
    A road to be laid out from J. Lowe's lane, at or near
the Pennsylvania line, to intersect the road to the York
Turnpike,
    A road to be laid out from Monkton's Mills, on the
Great Falls of Gunpowder, to intersect the York Turnpike
road,
    The levy court authorised to lease and exchange
ground near the alms-house,
    The destruction of crows encouraged,
    A road to be laid out from Dulany-street, to communicate
with the Philadelphia road,
    The place of holding the election in the first election
district changed,
     A lottery authorised to raise a sum of money for the
vestry of St. John's Parish in Harford and Baltimore
counties,
    A road to be laid out from Bond-street on Fells-Point
to intersect the York Turnpike Road,
    The commissioners for building the penitentiary authorised
to exchange with the levy court the lots therein
mentioned,
    Provision made for viewing and changing the road to
Belle-Air, and for laying out the road from Gravelly
Hill, on the Reister's Town Turnpike Road, to the
Frederick county line,
    A board of agriculture established,
