BALTIMORE CITY

            INDEX TO THE LAWS.

—The fifth district entitled to two representatives,
one a resident of the county, and the other of the city,
    Part of Montgomery county, Anne-Arundel county,
and the cities of Annapolis and Baltimore, form the
third district for choosing electors of the president and
vice-president,
—The third district entitled to two electors,
    Regulations respecting the holding of elections in the
city of Baltimore, &c.
    The elders, &c. of the German Evangelical Reformed
Church authorised to draw a lottery within the city
of Baltimore,
    Directions concerning the election of the mayor, and
the members of the city council,
 
 

    Provisional regulations concerning weights and measures,
&c.
    A lottery authorised for the benefit of the Charitable
Marine Society,
    The Mechanics Bank incorporated, &c.
 
 

    The trustees of the Roman Catholic Church enabled
to purchase a piece of ground therein mentioned,
    The city commissioners empowered to alter and extend
Granby and Exeter-streets,
    A ten foot alley therein mentioned, to be stopped up,
enclosed and improved,
    A lottery authorised for raising money for the use of
Trinity Church,

    Centre-street, in the northern precincts, to be
opened and a bridge built across Jones's Falls,

    A lottery authorised for building an engine house, &c.
    The Medical College founded,
—A lottery authorised for its benefit,

    The Baltimore Fire Insurance Company incorporated,
&c.
—Certain forfeitures remitted,
    The Baltimore Insurance Company empowered to invest
their funds in shares of any chartered bank,
    Provision made to quiet the possessions, and fix the
lines of the lots fronting on the west side of Philpot-street,
between Will and Thames-street,
    The contributors to the Baltimore General Dispensary 
incorporated,
    The acts therein referred to concerning waggons and
carts explained,
    Certain estates of deceased mariners vested in the
Charitable Marine Society,
    The commissioners for building the penitentiary authorised
to exchange with the levy court the lots therein
mentioned,
    The New Market Fire Company, in the precincts,
incorporated, &c.
    The sale of 5000 tickets in a lottery of Pennsylvania
authorised in the city of Baltimore,
    Provisions respecting Conewago-street and Ten Feet
Lane,
    The Orphaline Charity School incorporated, &c.
    A market to be established in the eastern precincts,
    The trustees of the Male Free School incorporated,
    The Union Manufacturing Company of Maryland
incorporated,
