LAWS OF MARYLAND.
this act shall not extend to persons committed for any fine or fees
imposed by any court or magistrate, for any criminal act, or for
breach of any public law of the state, or city ordinance. |
Sheriff to be entitled

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the sheriff of
Baltimore county
shall be entitled to a reasonable sum of money per annum to pay
a
porter or gate keeper at the gaol of said county. |

1. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
the levy court of Kent county be and they are hereby authorised
and directed, to levy on the assessable property of said county,
such sum or sums of money as may be necessary to carry into effect
the law to which this is an additional supplement, the said sum or
sums of money to be levied, collected and paid, as other county levies
are. |
Not to be construed
to repeal a former
law.

construed, or taken to repeal, or in any way alter or annul, an act,
or any part thereof, passed at December session eighteen hundred

1. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
the levy court of Somerset county, be and they are hereby authorised
and required, to appropriate the money levied in the year
eighteen hundred and eighteen, under the authority of the law to
which this is a supplement, to the payment of the expenses of the
said county for the present year. |

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the act authorising
the levy
court of Somerset county to levy and assess a sum of money for
the purposes therein mentioned, be and the same is hereby repealed. |
