1. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
all the plate which was present to the late Colonel George Armistead,
by a number of the citizens of Baltimore, as a testimonial
of his services in the defence of that city, be and the same is hereby
for ever hereafter exempted from all taxes, assessments, public
dues, accuring to the state of Maryland, or to the county of Baltimore. |

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That in case any assessment
upon
the said plate has been made, the collector, or other proper officer, |
