1. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
Thomas B. Dorsey, Louis E. Evans, Joseph Evans and Samuel
Hartley, be and they are hereby authorised to contract for, and superintend,
the building a bridge over the Patapsco Falls at Ellicott's
old upper mills, on the old road leading from Baltimore to
Frederick Town. |

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the justices of
the levy court of
Baltimore and Anne-Arundel counties be and they are hereby authorised
and directed, at their next annual levies, to levy upon the assessable
property in said counties a sum of money not exceeding
one thousand dollars (a), to be applied to building the aforesaid
bridge, one moiety of which sum of money shall be levied on Baltimore
county, and the other on Anne-Arundel county, which said
sum of money shall be paid to the aforesaid commissioners, or their
order, or so much thereof as may be necessary to complete the said
bridge.

BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That
from and after the passage of this act, each judge of the orphans
court of Prince-George's, Charles, St. Mary's, Cecil, and Somerset
counties, be and he is hereby entitled to receive, in lieu of his present
per diem, the sum of four dollars for every days attendance.

An Act for the relief of sundry Poor Out Pensioners of Anne-Arundel

BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the
levy court of Anne-Arundel county be and they are hereby authorised
and empowered, at their annual meeting, so long as they may
see cause so to do, to assess and levy on the assessable property of
said county, for the use of William Cocklin and Elizabeth White,
the sum of thirty dollars each; to Elizabeth Hatwell, in addition to
the sum allowed her, the sum of ten dollars; to Moses Deavor the
sum of thirty dollars, for the use of his afflicted daughter; which
said sums of money, when collected, shall be paid over annually
by the collector of Anne-Arundel county to the above named persons,
or their orders.
