of the Poor

authorised. |
1. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
the levy court of Queen Anne's county be, and they are hereby
authorised and empowered, for the present year, and no longer, to
levy a sum of money not exceeding one thousand dollars, or a less
sum, at their discretion, in addition to that already allowed by
law, on the assessable property of said county, which said additional
sum shall be collected in the same manner as directed by the
act to which this is supplement. |
—To be paid in
trustees of the poor. |
2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said sum of
money, when so
as aforesaid collected, shall be paid by the collector to the trustees
of the poor of said county, or to their order, who are hereby
authorised
and required to receive and apply the same to and for the
use, benefit and change, of maintaining the poor of said county. |

a
Company to make a Turnpike Road from the City
of Baltimore to

BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
it shall and may be lawful for the president and managers of the
Baltimore and Havre-de-Grace Turnpike Road Company, to alter
any part of the location of said road, so far as the same passes
through Harford county, as they in their judgment shall deem necessary,
they making, or causing to be made, a survey of such alteration
of the location, and causing a plot thereof to be filed in
each of the offices of the clerks of Baltimore and Harford counties.

133, any part of the location of the road may be altered. |

1. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
Elisha De Butes, Samuel Baker, Tobias Watkins, Maxwell
McDowell, Richard W. Hall, Ezra Gillingham, John B. Caldwell,
Thomas Hall, Richard W. Hall, Nathaniel Potter, and James
'Middleton, and such persons as they may from time to time elect,
and their successors, are hereby declared to be one community,
corporation and body politic, for ever, by and under the name and
title of The Medical Society of Maryland, and by and under the
same name and title they shall be able and capable in law to sue or
be sued, to prosecute or defend any suit in equity and law, to purchase,
take, have and enjoy, to them and their successors, in fee,
or for less estate or estates, any lands, tenements, rents, annuities, |
