the sid
deed or deeds, or other papers, shall be entitled to the same fees
as
are now allowed by law for similar services, to be paid by the
party at whose request the said deed or deeds, or other papers,
shall be recorded. |

3. AND BE IT ENACTED, That wherever the fees
in the cases
before mentioned have been paid to any deceased clerk, his executors
or administrators, for recording any such deed or deeds, or
other paper or papers, the person or persons paying the same for
recording under this act, shall be entitled to recover from the executors
or administrators of such deceased clerk, so much money
as they shall respectively pay, in the same manner as small debts
are recovered before a single justice of the peace; Provided always,
that no clerk shall be bound to record any such deed or deeds, or
other papers, unless his fees therefor shall be first satisfactorily
secured to him. |

BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That
the levy court of Charles county be, and they are hereby authorised
and directed, to assess and levy annually, on the assessable
property of said county, a sum of money not exceeding thirty dollars,
for the support and maintenance of Teresa Thomas, and that
the same be collected annually by the collector of Charles county,
and by him paid to the said Teresa Thomas, or to her order. |

WHEREAS by an act of assembly passed at December
session,
eighteen hundred and fifteen*, Thomas Hope, Daniel Thompson
and James St. Clair, were appointed commissioners to lay out and
open a road in Harford county, from George Carien's barrs, on
the Coop-Town road, to the road leading from Slade's mill to the
city of Baltimore, and two of the said commissioners having died
before the performance of the duties required of them, therefore, |
