or any five or more of them, to appoint a day and place for
the election of directors, which day shall be thirty days thereafter,
and notice shall be given at least ten days before such election; and
the said directors shall be and they are hereby authorised, immediately
after such election, to commence the operations of the said
bank.

    By 1817, ch. 153, the annual election of directors to be on the second Monday
of December.

CHAP. 66.

    25.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That all such parts of the act or
acts to which this is a supplement, as are not inconsistent with or
repugnant to this law, shall have as full force and operation as if
the same had been incorporated into this law, and all such parts
thereof as shall be inconsistent with and repugnant to this act,
shall be and the same are hereby repealed, annulled and made void.

    26.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That George Kidd, of Cecil county,
be and he is hereby appointed a commissioner in the place of John
Creswell, deceased, and that Alexander Brown, Henry Thompson,
and William Stansbury, be and they are hereby appointed commissioners
in addition to those named in the original act to take
subscriptions for the capital stock in the city of Baltimore, and
that the said commissioners shall be and they are hereby vested
with all and singular the powers given to the commissioners
named in the original act to which this is a supplement.

                                     CHAP. LXVII.
A Supplement  to an act (a), entitled, An act to incorporate a Bank to
    be called by the name of The Farmers Bank of Somerset and Worcester.

Passed Jan. 20, 1815.
    1.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
a branch of the Farmers Bank of Somerset and Worcester shall
be and hereby is established at Salisbury, in the counties of Somerset
and Worcester, under the name of The Salisbury Branch
Bank, to be governed by the rules and regulations provided by the
law to which this is a supplement, except as shall be hereby
otherwise provided and directed.

    2.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That the capital of the Salisbury
Branch Bank shall be one hundred thousand dollars, to be furnished
by the Farmers Bank of Somerset and Worcester, in the manner
hereafter prescribed by this act.

    3.  AND whereas the present capital of the Farmers Bank of
Somerset and Worcester consists of two hundred thousand dollars,
divided into shares of one hundred dollars each; therefore, BE IT
ENACTED, That from and after the passage of this act the shares
in the said bank shall consist only of fifty dollars each, thereby
augmenting the number of shares from two thousand to four thousand,
two thousand of which shall constitute the capital of the Salisbury
Branch Bank.

    4.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That the directors of the said bank,
or any six of them, on a day to be appointed by them, after giving
at least thirty days notice thereof in the Easton newspapers, and
by advertisement set up at the public places in said county, shall
