and empowered, at their levy court annually, to assess and levy on
the assessable property of said county, a sum of money not exceeding
twenty-five dollars, for the support and maintenance of the said
Wenman Ramsey, and that the same be collected annually by the
collector or collectors of Calvert county, and paid to the said Wenman
Ramsey, or to his order.

                                           CHAP. XLV.
An Act making a Public Landing Place in Somerset County.  Lib.

Passed Jan. 8, 1814.
    1.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
Tubman Lowes, senior, William Cottman and George Jones, be and
they, or a majority of them, are hereby appointed commissioners to
lay out a quantity of land for a public landing place at the head of
Wicomico creek, in Somerset county, not exceeding two acres, 
binding with the south side of the said creek and the main road
leading therefrom to Princess-Anne, in such manner as they, or a
majority of them, may think most conducive to the public benefit,
and the said commissioners, or a majority of them, are hereby required
to return a plot of said landing place to the clerk of Somerset
county, there to be recorded, together with an estimate of the
damages sustained by any person or persons whose land may be
taken, laid out and appropriated as aforesaid.

    2.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That the levy court of Somerset county
are hereby empowered and directed, to assess and levy the amount
of such damages as shall be ascertained by the commissioners aforesaid,
which sum of money shall be levied, collected and paid over,
as other county charges are levied, collected and paid over; also that
the commissioners hereby appointed shall have an allowance of two
dollars for each day they shall attend in discharge of the duties
herein required.

                                           CHAP. XLVI.
An Act for the relief of Edward Timmins, of Anne-Arundel County.

Passed Jan. 8, 1814.
    BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
the justices of the levy court for Anne-Arundel county be and they
are hereby authorised and empowered, as long as they deem it right
and proper so to do, annually to assess and levy on the assessable
property in said county, to be collected as other county charges
are, a sum of money not exceeding thirty dollars, for the maintenance
and support of the said Edward Timmins.

An Act to alter, straighten and amend, the Road therein mentioned

Passed Jan. 8, 1814.
    1.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
James Steel, William Clark and John Guyton, be and they are
hereby appointed commissioners to view the road leading from Nathan
Pyles' mill in Harford county, to the road leading from Peach
Bottom Ferry to Baltimore, and the said Baltimore road from
thence to and through Stephen Rigdon's lane as far as his orchard;
and they, or a majority of them, are hereby authorised to alter,
