2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the chancellor shall
have power
at any time to order and direct the removal to the said hospital of
any lunatic, idiot or person insane, who hath heretofore, under his
direction, been sent to any hospital or receptacle in Philadelphia,
and to enforce his order as in other cases. |

3. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the seventh section
of the act of
assembly, passed at November session one thousand seven hundred
and ninety-seven*, entitled, An act relative to proceedings in
the court of chancery and land offices, and to the real estate of
persons dying intestate, be and the same is hereby repealed. |

CHAP. XXII.
An Act authorising the several Banks in this State to loan money
to

BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That
each of the several banking institutions within the state of Maryland,
be and hereby is authorised to loan to the said state any
sum of money, not exceeding in amount one-third of its capital
actually paid in. |

Preamble. |
WHEREAS it appears by the journal of accounts of
this session
that there is due from the state a sum of nine thousand eight
hundred and forty seven dollars and twenty-eight cents; |
Treasurer authorised
to pay. |
1. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
the treasurer of the western shore shall and he is hereby authorised
and required, to pay the several persons, their executors, administrators,
assigns or order, or to such of them as shall offer to
receive the same, the several sums of current money allowed to
them respectively, as they appear to be settled and ascertained by
the said journal of accounts, out of any money now in the treasury,
or that shall come into the treasury, subject to the appropriation
of the general assembly. |
