act, be and the same is hereby repealed. |

WHEREAS it is represented to this general assembly,
by the petition
of sundry inhabitants of Queen-Anne's county, that they experience
great inconvenience for the want of a confirmation of a
public road leading from J. B. and intersecting the main road
leading from Church Hill to Chester-Town, at the smith-shop of
William Coleman, and have prayed a law may pass confirming the
said road, therefore, |
Preamble. |
1. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
James Brown, Samuel Betts and John Hackett, be and they, or a
majority of them, are hereby appointed commissioners, to view,
lay out, mark and bound the said road, as nearly with the road
now used as may be practicable, and cause the same to be cleared,
not more than thirty feet, nor less than twenty feet wide, and shall
return a plot thereof, under their hands and seals, to the clerk of
Queen-Anne's county court, to be recorded by him, and the said
road shall thereafter be kept in repair as other public roads in said
county are. |

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That if any of the said
commissioners
die, resign, or refuse to act, the remaining commissioners are
hereby authorised and empowered to appoint another commissioner
to act in his place. |

An Act for the relief of Elizabeth Peters, of Prince-George's County.

BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That
the levy court of Prince-George's county shall be and they are
hereby directed and empowered, at their levy court annually, so
long as they shall see cause, to assess and levy on the assessable
property of said county, a sum of money not exceeding thirty dollars,
for the support and maintenance of the said Elizabeth Peters,
and that the same be collected annually by the collector of
Prince-George's county, and paid to the said Elizabeth Peters, or
her order. |
