                                         CHAP. CI.
An Act to alter and amend a certain Road in Harford County.  Lib.

    WHEREAS it is represented to this general assembly by the petition
of sundry inhabitants of Harford county, that the road leading
from Winter's Run, near Price's mill, to the White House, passes
over several hills that are so steep that it is with difficulty a loaded
wagon can ascend them, and prays that the said road may be
altered so as to pass by the mill of the said Price, and thence in a
direct line so as to fall into the old road near to a small house
owned by a certain Walter Bull, and have stated in their petition
that no charge would be made by landholders for the land over
which the said road would pass; therefore,
Preamble.
    1.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
John Moores, William McMath and Samuel Bradford, be and they
are hereby appointed commissioners to alter and amend the road
leading from Winter's Run near Price's mill, to the White House,
so as to pass by the said Price's mill, and thence in the best direction
that the nature of the ground will admit of, so as to intersect
the old road near a small house owned by a certain Walter Bull;
and the said commissioners shall lay out, survey, mark and bound
the same, which shall not exceed two perches in width, and correct
plot of the same return under their or a majority of their
hands and seals, to the clerk of Harford county court, there to be
by him recorded.

    2.  PROVIDED ALWAYS, AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said road
shall not be laid anew through the lands of any person unless the
consent of the owner or owners of such land be first had and obtained.

    3.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That the levy court of Harford county
be and they are hereby directed, upon the plot of such road being
returned to the clerk's office of said county, to levy such sum of
money as they in their discretion shall deem necessary for opening
and making conveniently passable the said road, and shall appoint
an overseer for opening the same; and the said road shall hereafter
be kept in repair as other public roads in said county are kept in 
repair.

    4.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said commissioners shall have
and be allowed by the levy court of Harford county, one dollar and
fifty cents per day, for each and every day that they shall attend
in discharge of their duties under the provisions of this act.

                                        CHAP. CII.
An Act authorising the Levy Court of Cecil County to open a Road in
                        said County.

    1.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the levy court of Cecil county, if they, or a majority of them,
should think that a road beginning at Rock Run in Cecil county,
on the Susquehanna, to pass near the division line of Mrs. Martha
Patterson and Thomas Patten's farms, from thence to run and
Levy court may
appoint commissioners
to lay off
road.
