                                LAWS OF MARYLAND.

are hereby authorised to extend to James Dixon, of Calvert
county, the full benefit of the act of assembly passed at November
session eighteen hundred and five*, entitled, An act for the relief
of sundry insolvent debtors, and the several supplements thereto,
without requiring the said James Dixon to obtain the consent
of two-thirds of his creditors in amount, upon the said James
Dixon complying in other respects with the said act and supplements.

    BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the judges, or any judge of Somerset county court, be and they
are hereby directed to extend to Charles Farrow, of Somerset county, 
the benefit of an act of assembly passed at November session
eighteen hundred and five †, entitled, An act for the relief of sundry
insolvent debtors, and the several supplements thereto, without
compelling the said Charles Farrow to produce the assent of two-thirds
in amount, of his creditors, as is required by the said act,
and the several supplements thereto.

                                        CHAP. LXXXIX.
An Act to appoint Commissioners to open a Road in Worcester County.

Preamble.     WHEREAS it is represented to this general assembly by the petition
of sundry inhabitants of Worcester county, that the laying
out and opening a road in said county, across from the road leading
from Snow-Hill to Miller's mills, to intersect the road leading
from Dennis' mill to Nassaongo creek, would be of general public
advantage; therefore,

Proviso.
    1.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
John P. Marshall, Selby Parker, Milby Alkins, Robert Givan, senior,
and Thomas Jones, senior, be, and they are hereby appointed
commissioners; and the said commissioners, or a majority of them,
are hereby authorised to open and lay out a road at least twenty
feet wide, beginning on the north side of Elijah Law's mill, and at
the road leading from Snow-Hill to Miller's mills, and from thence
running with a road cut through to intersect a road leading from
Dennis' mill to Nassaongo creek, or to run in such direction as the
said commissioners may think will be most convenient for the people,
and of the least disadvantage to the persons through whose
land the same may pass; Provided, that nothing herein contained
shall in any manner authorise the said commissioners to open said
road through the buildings, gardens, orchards, yards or meadows,
of any person or persons, without his, her or their consent.
Damages to be
ascertained.
    2.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said commissioners, or a majority
of them, shall ascertain and value what damages may be sustained
