                                LAWS OF MARYLAND.

                                        CHAP. CXCVI.
A Supplement to the Act*, entitled, An act to provide for the erection
    of a new Court-House for Baltimore County.

Levy authorised
for completing
court-house.
    1.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
the levy court of Baltimore county be and they are hereby authorised
and required to assess and levy, upon the assessable property
of said county, in such successive annual instalments, any sum not
exceeding five thousand dollars annually, in addition to the sum
which the said court are now authorised to levy, as they may from
time to time think proper, as well for the payment of any debts or
expenses heretofore contracted or incurred, as for the raising such
sums as may be hereafter necessary for the finishing and completing
the said new court-house, the first instalment to be assessed by
the said court at their first session after the passage of this act for
the purpose of laying the county levy, and to be collected by the
collector of said county.

    2.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said sum or sums shall be
collected and paid over agreeably to the provisions of the act, entitled,
An act to provide for the erection of a new court-house for
Baltimore county, passed at November session, in the year one
thousand eight hundred and five †, and the commissioners named
and appointed by the said act, on receipt of the said sum or sums
of money, shall apply the same to the erection and completion of
the said new court-house, and account therefor pursuant to the provisions
of the above recited act.

                                    CHAP. CXCVIII.
An Act to alter and abolish all such parts of the Constitution and Form
    of Government as require a property qualification in Persons to be
    appointed or holding offices of profit or trust in this State, and in
    Persons elected Members of the Legislature or Electors of the Senate.

Parts of constitution
repealed.
    1.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
all such parts of the constitution and form of government as require
a property qualification in persons to be appointed or holding
offices of profit or trust in this state, and in persons elected members
of the legislature or electors of the senate, shall be and the same
are hereby repealed and abolished.
If confirmed to be
a part of the constitution.
    2.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That if this act shall be confirmed by
the general assembly, after the next election of delegates, in the
first session after such new election, as the constitution and form
of government directs, that in such case this act, and the alterations
and amendment of the constitution and form of government
therein contained, shall be taken and considered, and shall constitute
and be valid, as part of the said constitution and form of government,
any thing in the said constitution and form of government
contained to the contrary notwithstanding.

                                    This act confirmed by 1810, ch. 18.
