85 At a Court held the ninth day of June for the County of Somerset in the Province of Maryland by their Maties Justices of the Peace in the 3d year of their Maties Reign. John: King - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Command was given that the Court should be calld, which was offitiated by mr Robert Perrie. the Cryer not being there. but halfe an hour after the Cryer viz. George Noble made his appearance, and upon Submission was admitted Cryer as formerly - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The Sheriffe of this County in Court returns a List or pannel. of Orphants Jury, whose names are inserted as followeth. viz Thomas: Morris. To 3. white basons. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - To the worll:their Maties Justices of the Peace for the County of Somerset, the Gentm.Jurors of Enquiry into Orphants Estates and others qualified, the humble Petion of Moses Owen humbly sheweth That your Petioner was left an Orphant by the death of Thomas: Owen my ffather who left yr humble Petioner a Small pittance of an Estate to to Supply your Petioners wants, which is fallen into the hands of Jno:Rowell Cordweiner by his intermarriage with Mary your Petioners mother, who by his imoderate spending hath wasted and consumed the greater part of yr Petioners Estate already, & the small thing that is left in great danger, yr Petioner Craves yr worps Consideracon that such Course may be taken to Secure y sd Estate to yr Petioner. & that the sd Rowell may give Suffitient Security for the same.
